Summer's End
The summer had been full of adventures and her passport was full. Now it was time to head home.
The airport was bustling with end of summer activity. People moving to and fro, returning home or trying to squeeze in one last getaway.
Lainey, Emmy, Kia and Waddles had their suitcases packed and were boarding the plane. As they stepped out onto the tarmac, the wind whipped around them and the roar from the runway felt like an exciting unexpected adventure.
But Lainey was looking forward to getting home. She wanted to recharge and get back to a routine. Adventures are fun but there is a comfort that comes with resting at Home. Who can relate?
