The Martian
With two feet firmly planted on the earth Emmy looked into the eyepiece of the Lainey3000 telescope. She tweaked the focus a bit then jumped back suddenly. Steeling herself, she grabbed the telescope again for a closer look!

Zooming through the eye of the scope, on the cusp of the Milky Way was a flying saucer!

Did she imagine it? No. She did not.

There it was, 48 million miles away, orbiting around the moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos - a UFO.

Little did Emmy know that the aliens on board were on a mission.
Inside the ship pilot Yenial and her cohorts were collecting and analyzing space particles in hopes of locating Celeritas-Lucis Transulto, a specific molecule that would allow them to jump into the next galaxy.

The brave alien monkey, Octisimia was trailing behind the ship collecting the samples for the team to test. As Octisimia closed the sample container she heard through her transmitter, “let’s head closer to the moon and see what’s floating there,” said Captain Yenial.
“Copy that,” responded Octisimia as she stowed the collected samples.

“Hold tight. Preparing to glide,” said the Captain. Octisimia adjusted the tether for the move.
“Glide activated,” and the ship gently sailed to their new location.

Back on earth, Emmy stepped back from the Lainey3000, stunned.
“Hey all. You’re not gonna believe this!”
Fun Fact: Celeritas-Lucis Transulto is Latin for “light speed skipping.”
