Aug 28 Surprise Party

“You’re new here, Lainey, so let me tell you how this works,” Ailish said as she finished tacking up the colorful banner. “When Mommy walks in, we all jump out and yell ‘SURPRISE!’ Got it?”

Following her sister’s lead Lainey replied with “Got it, Sis!” Then she turns to her friends, “Socks, Emmy, you got it?“ They nod confidently in agreement. There’s an electric energy in the room as the crew finishes the final touches for the party.

“Wait! Did you hear that?” Ailish shushes the group excitedly “Shhh! I think I hear her coming!”

Everyone is on pins and needles with anticipation as the door handle slowly turns and gently swings open...

“SURPRISE!!” Everyone shouts as they jump out from their hiding places. “Happy Birthday Mama!!” Shout Ailish and Lainey as their Mom and Dad walk into the room shocked and elated, grinning from ear to ear.

“Oh my goodness! What a wonderful birthday surprise! You two sneaksters...” as Mama pulls Ailish & Lainey in tight for a big hug. “You got me! I love you two bugga-boos with all my heart. This is the best birthday ever!” And as she hugs them tight, Daddy gives Emmy the cue to start the music. “Now, let’s get this party started!”
